Hourglass

Words & Music: Van Schoonhoven
Performed, produced and recorded by EUMETRIS

I’ll take my time 412nd
That’s what life is after all
Dig every grain of sand
To fill my hourglass
I realise I see a world
That begins to age and crack
But the darker the ages
The more we’re not impressed

I can’t deny my life is worth living
You say that’s for only a while
We always had kind of parallel thinking
Two courses never collide

The road of my life is one of survival
Still I feel I missed a million miles
So I refuse to sit by a dying fire
My final mask will be a smile

It’s obvious we came here for a reason
Crystal clear that we’ve been just in cue
Plain to see a toss of dice defined our lives
It’s only fair to break through

Only 4 a while a never ending story
Someday we are to leave behind
And when that time has come we'll be icons of glory
Tourists will come and see ruins of our time

It’s obvious we came here for a reason
Crystal clear that we’ve been just in cue
Plain to see a toss of dice defined our lives
It’s only fair
We came here for a reason
Crystal clear that we’ve been just in cue
Plain to see a toss of dice defined our lives
It’s only fair
Obvious we came here for a reason
Crystal clear that we’ve been just in cue
Plain to see a toss of dice defined our lives randomly
It’s only fair to break through

I’ll take my time 412nd
That’s what life is after all
Dig every grain of sand
To fill my hourglass
